The premieres will take place in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton and Christchurch on Monday 29 August.
The charity movie premiere is an adaptation of Charlotte Bronte’s novel starring Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) along with Judi Dench, Sally Hawkins and Jamie Bell.
Jane Eyre (Wasikowska) flees Thornfield House, where she works as a governess for wealthy Edward Rochester (Michael Fassbender, Inglourious Basterds). As she reflects upon the people that have defined her, it is clear that the isolated and imposing residence – and Mr. Rochester’s coldness – have sorely tested her resilience, forged years earlier when she was orphaned. Jane must now act decisively to secure her future and come to terms with the past, and the terrible secret that Mr Rochester is hiding...
Look Good Feel Better is a nationwide charity helping women who are undergoing treatment for cancer. At free “pick me up” workshops, women get a pampering one-on-one treatment, which gives them a much needed boost in confidence as they take on the challenge of a lifetime.
Tickets are $35. The price includes a glass of wine and other goodies on arrival.
