Jstar was born and raised in West London under a haze of reggae, rave, funk and hip-hop. As an artist, DJ and producer he is a true representative of that unique ‘London sound’, a kaleidoscopic melting pot of cultures and styles, heavily influenced by the multicultural UK communities originating in the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and Asia.

As well as his back catalogue of over 200 dance floor gold reggae and hip-hop remixes, he is an epic music collector, invited to DJ around the world for over 25 years, smashing parties from disco to afrobeat, from funk to house, from reggae to hip hop.

Jstar’s productions are constantly pushing boundaries, illustrated in albums such as ‘Licensed Plates’,‘Stand To Order’ and ‘Dub To Order’. His work has been acclaimed by the likes of David Rodigan, Diplo, Norman Jay, John Peel, Grandmaster Flash and The Clash’s DJ, Don Letts.

Jstar says, “I love to play a killer reggae sets with amazing MC’s but whether it’s a party or club, sometimes I’ll spin everything from tropical disco to funk, dancehall or drum and bass – especially if it all owes its debt to sound system business”.

Check him laying down only the best in bass music, bringing big vibes and upliftment to the dance!

Also featuring top quality selections from Steve the Hat and Crazyeye.
