Facilitated by Nataliia Krupka

This 2 hour workshop is for pregnant women who are preparing for active childbirth, designed for third trimester, but will be useful and informative for any stage of pregnancy. During this two hours we will concentrate on the techniques which can be used during labour to help you have better birth experience – less painful and possibly shorter labour.

You will be provided with

– movements specific for each stage of labour
– relaxation and sensation control techniques
– some other things and ideas to improve your childbirth experience

After attending this workshop you will be equipped with tangible tool to use when the big day comes, to help you feel more confident, capable, powerful, strong as well as open and more relaxed.

What to bring: pen and notebook, water bottle. Fruit and light snacks will be provided (but we still recommend eating something light before you come). Props and mats will be provided, you can bring your yoga mat if desired. No Yoga experience is necessary. We do not require a written note from your midwife or doctor, but we ask you to inform your health care provider and get Ok to practice Yoga before taking this workshop.

Please note that although we will be touching subjects on anatomical information and stages of labour, this is not a ‘Childbirth Education’ program and this will not be covered to full extent. We highly recommend that you attend Plunket Parenting Course or other Childbirth education program available.

If you have any questions about the workshop or to book by email: info@grassrootsyoga.co.nz.
