Update: Cancelled for Wednesday Feb 2 due to inclement weather.
The Show must go on!! Even in the "Red Traffic Light" status!
This year's production will be presented "promenade" style. You'll be in small groups and leave the Winter Gardens area in ten to fifteen-minute intervals. So turn up with your vaccination passport ANY TIME between 6pm and 7:15pm (and between 2:00pm and 3:15pm on Sat and Sun) and join a group to begin your journey! The scenes will be repeated so you don't have to be there at the start time. A little patience will ensure everyone gets around the production safely within the Covid-19 Protection framework guidelines.
A Plague O' Both Your Houses is based around Shakespearean treatments of health and medicine. Discover some of the customs, characters and chaos that could be found in Elizabethan England and reflect on just how far have we come in 400 years...
Best parking is via Queens Drive entrance or carpark near Cheeky Llama. Follow the signs to the Covid-19 vaccination passport check in area, near the Winter Gardens.
At the end of your journey around the scenes, enjoy some music and reflection in the Chinese Gardens.
On Sunday, Feb 6, there will be an additional concert opportunity in the New Zealand Native Garden (access from Queens Drive) to celebrate Waitangi Day, with all NZ music. More on that can be found on our separate event listing.
Because you must be seated with social distancing, seating will be provided.
The show does have 'dark' themes (simulated death, blood etc) so parental guidance is recommended.
