Join us for the much-anticipated return of Uku Clay Hawke’s Bay – the Biennial National Ceramics Exhibition. Hosted by Arts Inc. Heretaunga, Uku Clay Hawke’s Bay is a feast for avid ceramics enthusiasts, featuring some of the best clay works from our region and around New Zealand.
Incredibly diverse and thought-provoking, Uku provides an opportunity for ceramic artists across all cultures and communities to exhibit together, celebrating their shared love of clay. The exhibition showcases a mixture of unique objects, many different methods of making and firing techniques.
Uku is thrilled to announce New Plymouth artist Paul Maseyk as the selector for this, the third Biennial National Ceramics Exhibition. Paul creates highly decorated, complex ceramic works that are held in many public art galleries and collections around New Zealand and internationally.
Paul will announce the winners at the official opening of the Uku Clay Hawke’s Bay National Ceramics Award on Friday 7th October.
