Jamie Berry is a multidisciplinary artist who creates large-scale multimedia artworks that explore Aotearoa histories while reflecting on identity and whakapapa.
Berry says of their tupuna Wi Pere: “Wi Pere was a great orator, a Politician. A chief and a champion for his people. I’ve placed my nephew Kruize (6th generation) in front of him, [representing] our future hopes for the next generation.”
