Fun, intense immersion course introducing the fundamentals of Salsa, Argentine Tango, Bachata, & more Latin-American styles of dance as a preparation course aimed to get you on the dancefloor, and get ready to make the most of the big annual Salsa Congress and Tango Festival events, as well as a fun social dancing weekend every November in the Wairarapa.

Carterton LatinDance Immersion

Held at St Marks Anglican Parish,
185 High Street South. Carterton
Dates: Sundays 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd November
(4 weeks of 2hr lessons)
2 to 4pm Beginners & Improvers LatinDance & Argentine Tango
4 Week Course fee: $200, couple $320
Argentine Tango:
Courses mainly focus on Argentine Tango. Other Tango dance styles Milonga and Vals (aka tango waltz) are also taught, mainly in open embrace, with some close embrace. a mix of traditional with modern styles of Tango Nuevo. A suitable foundation for both social dancing and performance / stage tango dancing, developed more as you advance to be a versatile dancer able to dance each style with ease.
Latin Dance:
This is an Introductory course We’ll be focusing on Salsa (Cuban) & Bachata but will also look at the basics of other common Latin dance styles: Merengue, Kizomba and Zouk. we aim to help you recognize the different styles, and give a good fountain for being able to go out and dance socially and have fun while doing it.
