Support Waikato Child & Youth Health Services (WaiKids) at Waikato Hospital by coming along to this event in your PJs & having some fun with Licenced Zumba® instructor Jo Green at Hukanui Primary School Hall (opposite Chartwell Mall). No Zumba experience is necessary - just come along & give it a crack.
$7 entry proceeds & donated new / used children's warm PJs, singlets, socks, beanies, blankets or slippers will be given to patients at WaiKids & families in need upon leaving the hospital.
Zumba with Jo has unique physical & mental health benefits including boosting your cardiovascular health, improving your coordination, toning your entire body, reducing stress & improving your overall quality of life. Zumba with Jo is a full body, cardio workout so on the evening, expect to be moving your legs, arms, shoulders & waist. It won't feel like you're working out at all - you'll just get caught up in the fun of the music & the moves.
Now is the time to make time for your health, as well as supporting the health of kids in our Waikato community.
Waikids is the brand that integrates all child & youth health services provided by Waikato District Health Board, whether they are provided in hospital, clinics, in the community or in people's homes.
Kids are being admitted to hospital with preventable illnesses such as Acute Rheumatic Fever, a disease usually only found in third world countries. Let's get together to help make a positive difference to our Waikato kids.
For health & safety reasons, please avoid slippers & wear sneakers (with low tread / cross-training shoes).
Now, let's dance that cheeky chocolate cake & those wobbly bits away!
