Start planning your day out on the 23rd November, 2019. We are a new team of organisers, we’re locals and have been coming to the festival for 30 years. Our daughter who is 23 was practically born at the festival, she is now on the new board!
Last year a survey was run with heaps of feedback on what an amazing experience people had at the Festival. We are not covered in advertising signs, we are not socking the pocket. We are loving the art, music, smiles, food, and fun that our participants, share together at the Festival.
We have continued to put our work into supporting 250 creative stalls producing original items rather than bring you more cheap imported goods that bombard you every day of the week. We support competition that nurtures personal development. We are not keen on taking from our artists and producing cheap mass produced inferior copies of their goods. We hope you will support this approach and buy something unique and beautiful in our market zone. You can even have a look at some of the stalls online before Festival day.
Since 1984 locals initiated a peaceful and fun filled day: From the locals to the locals.
We are a non for profit trust. All proceeds flow back into the organising next year’s festival or go to a local fundraiser.
Love the Earth, Love You, Smokefree, Be Mindful of Planet Litter, Balance your Drugs and Alcohol, Achieve Your Best, have Fun, Find Kind, Celebrate Our Community, He Aha Te Mea Nui? Ole a le Mea e Auptio Ona Tuua? The Power of You.
We are looking forward to our crew getting together to make it all happen. We are hoping to entice back some oldies but goldies as volunteers too. Anyone who wants to be part of the crew next year, get in touch - greylynnparkfestival@gmail.com.
