Pacific Sisters presents Art After Hours: F'rock da Base a one-night-only takeover of Auckland Art Gallery, for a night packed with Māori and Pasifika music, fashion, spoken word and activism.

‘Something Old, Something New’ – enjoy curated performances of spoken word and poetry delivered in cabaret-style by the Pacific Sisters
Live tatau demonstrations – throughout the night, from Croc Tatau, Uhi Tapu and Moko Ink.
DJ sets – soak up night-long, rotating sets from DJs DLT, Manuel Bundy and Linda T.
Music – catch live music from four-piece band, Whaea and the Rumble
Aunty Fa’ani and RoBro’s DiscoVERY Centre – experience Aunty Fa’ani and Ro Bro’s interactive art installation developed in collaboration with FAFSWAG’s Jermaine Dean.
F’Rocking fashion finale – drink in the drama as over 30 designers F’Rock the Gallery, using its multiple levels as their runway and including garments from the Pacific Sisters’ collection.

Plus:
Food truck and bar – fill up on bespoke, event-inspired food and drink available from the Gallery’s forecourt and atrium bar
Entry to all exhibitions – enjoy late-night, after-hours viewing of Pacific Sisters: He Toa Tāera | Fashion Activists, the just-opened Guerrilla Girls: Reinventing the ‘F’ Word – Feminism! and many more exhibitions of New Zealand and international art.
Pop-up art talks– meet our team of Gallery experts and discover the meaning behind the artwork in these short, lively ‘art bites’
